What is a Timing belt(synchronous belt)?
Timing belts are toothed belts in which power is transmitted through positive engagement between the belt teeth and a timing pulley (toothed pulley).
In timing belt transmission system (synchronous belt drive system), the belt groove and the pulley groove mesh to transmit motion and power, which is a type of meshing transmission.
According to timing belt drive design manual or timing belt catalog, appropriate timing belt tension can provide corresponding transmission capacity and power.It has various characteristics of gear transmission, chain transmission, and flat belt transmission.Compared to chain, synchronous belts are more compact, lighter, quieter, require no lubrication and operate at higher speeds.Herz synchronous drive systems offer quiet, efficient and maintenance free operation.
